Smarter & Cheaper
Control and switch panels are used in many applications, ranging from industrial automation to energy storage to agriculture. Traditional panels are comprised of elements such as circuit breakers, monitoring modules, switches, potentiometers, and communication modules. These elements are mounted on rails and connected by wires.
The traditional approach is labour-intensive and provides limited diagnostic information. Enter the digital control panel.
We have integrated the various elements of traditional control panels on PCBs. In our smart approach, we are able to combine switching and circuit breaking functionality. By integrating current and voltage monitoring in the PCB, we provide much more diagnostics and through an uplink the data is made available for offline analysis — unlocking applications such as preventive maintenance. Finally, we eliminate a lot of wiring and associated labour. Wires are now traces in the PCB, modules are components automatically assembled on the PCB.
This launching project has its application in the agricultural industry, but it is applicable to any control panel in any industry. The concept has been designed in a modular way and can be easily adapted to fit a wide range of configurations.
